You and I and Death
I'll be your every waking
nightmare
every painstaking dream if you
let me and if i say please
I'll steal the breath right out of
you then I'll have to leave
breaking every promise
because you see my heart has
long forgotten me
You'll hear my voice on high
then on low whispering through
dark hollows just for you to
behold I dip my fingers into you
pale white to the bone cold and
seeking you softly sigh and as a
tear hits your pillow you ask
me why? and I say I don't
know
It's you I have chosen
you silly soft boy you let me in
and now I'll never leave, you
thought I was simply the girl of
your dreams
You didn't see the rain in my
eyes the ice in my veins
couldn't feel the pain
and now I need you and your
begging me to leave you
My lies no longer amuse you
but when I tell the truth you
cover your ears and I smile
I am the shadow by your heart
your every thought you think of
in your head the very thing that
binds you together and the only
thing that tears you apart I'll be
here forever you and I and
death who sits in the corner
So go back to bed you'll see me
in the morning my dear.
