You and I

Who knows the stories of my heart, but you!
Who knows its intimate secrets, but you!
When of my heart very little I know
What needs is there then, of this I!

When I look out, I’m observed by you
When I look in, I’m absorbed by you!
When finally I, and all, rest in you
What needs is there of this I!
