'you' and 'I'
I saw distress
in every bit of life,
with the touch of success
here and there that
I don’t notice;
I don’t know your motive and
I complained.
I complained about your gifts,
I attacked you for giving me intelligence –
not opportunity,
‘Disdained you for giving me splendor –
not romance;
But now
I realize
regret comes
as the crown of delight;
You are the All.
There’s no ‘I’
in the route;
My body, mind might suffer but
My soul –
connected to You,
always;
At total bliss and
at absolute pain
and beyond,
I am united with You –
part of You.
I pray for your tenderness
to hold my hands
ever.
