You

You came into my life
Full of fire, full of ice
Your fire fills me with desire
Your ice bursting with compromise
Not sure what to feel
Not knowing what to do
Do I want to keep this going?
Do I want to make it end?
Head and heart in a battle
To a point I cannot comprehend
I listen to the psychobabble
Knowing I want more than just a friend
So, insane feelings begin to rattle
Too irrational to contend
Still your fire fills me with desire
Though your ice is full of compromise
You can never be more than just my friend
