friends like you are far and few, boyfriends are too

One day soon you will become my man
not just my best friend and biggest fan
you will be more when the time does come
and our relationship will be both serious and fun
but I promise that I will never how it all began

We bonded over our love for poems and such
and it grew to be a bond that grew so much
we have a bond that runs so deep
a step into a relationship is a big leap
You'll never know what you've done with a loving touch

You've touched my heart in more than just one way
In my life I want you to please please forever stay
I am still hesitant to follow again love's siren call
but I know with you I won't be hurt if I do fall
so your patient til I'm ready to take that leap one day
