All my days have come and gone
like the lyrics of bygone songs
and now I sit and think of you
days by your side so brief and few-

Reflections of my greatest friend
all of life's love to you I send
for you are as the summer rain
with you my tears reside
and no longer do I feel the pain-

I have sought that which hurt my soul
while knowing all the while it was you only
that made me whole
my life, my heart, everything to me
your beautiful soul only can I see-

So how can I let go?
I can't even try
for if I do I know in that
day I will surely die-

For no matter where I go
no matter what I do
how much I truly love you
only God could know-
