You

things that are unsaid,
words that were never spoken,
can you lean in close to my shell,
can you hear the sounds of the ocean?
can you whisper them to me?

your arms are constellations,
will you let me fall into them?
fall into you?
your spirals, and your specks, and stars and everything you hold inside
the shattered glass and everything you think is ugly.

i burn deep whenever you grace me
with touch, or your gaze, or your breath.
when you’re above me,
the sky is all i see.
