You

“You”

So you break
and the life of you
falls through
the cracks in
the floor

you become
invisible to all
just like a ghost
walking through
walls

silently
you watch
and
silently
you learn

and the softness
that ethereal core
apple seed
hidden in the
hardness of you

it wakes
and it grows
slowly a small life
unfurls
it blooms

there is a
strength in you
that you never knew
some small Light
in you remains

Darkness came
to fan the flame,
lit “Love “,
to lead you
back to

You

“It’s the hard things that break;
soft things don’t break.
It was an epiphany I had today
and I just wonder why
it took me so very, very long to see it.

You can waste so many years of your life
trying to become something hard
in order not to break;
but it’s the soft things that can’t break.

The hard things are the ones
that shatter into a million pieces.”

Thank you Paula. Wouldn't that be lovely to sit, talk and 'spill some tea. :) oh, the stories to be told! What a life. And here we are, still alive, still standing. Anything is possible in this day and age of technology. I hope you have a lovely Christmas this year and thank you for your kind thoughts last Christmas, which was a lovely gift. Certainly there is a heaven, no matter what anyone says, we all are walking each other home. Lots of love at Christmas, again. :) Have a good one, lots of beautiful music, poems, novels/ keep on writing and get out in nature. Xx

A gift for you this Christmas. You may have read her novels, I'm not sure. But if not, you are certain to love these two novels. An Australian writer, raised in South East Queensland (where I hail from) and now she is based in England. I find when I read her novels, I am fully transported out of this world and walking with the characters in her stories. Merry Christmas. 2021. Leanne

"If it's not you who listens to the heartbreak of another and makes your shoulder a soft place to land. if it is not you who carries words upon your lips that feel like spring rains to those whose souls are depleted of water. if it is not you who grants mercy to the ones who broke you and grace to the ones who tread with caution because they have lost too much. and walked in darkness for too long. then who? you are the torch. you are the beacon.
