You

Does it matter what others think of you?
Is that something about which you should stew?

When your mortal journey is at an end,
it isn't what others think you'll have to defend.

The truth you long ago knew--
what will matter is what you think about you.

I enjoyed reading this Paul. This made me think because it had a powerful message, as my fellow poet Brandy stated! Very nice poem!

Such a powerful message within, one holding so much truth. What matters is "what you think about you" Yes !! Always be yourself. Be kind to others and help those in need. Stand up for what is right. Your thoughts caress gently around me and my heart. Hugs, Brandy

Thank you, Heidi. It's kind of you to comment. Some may think the poem is too simple, but I think it expresses an important principle. Hugs, Paul
