You

You’re my sober wave in a sea of rage You waited there; you saw my cage But every night I drifted away I ran from pain but you made me stay How could I find a further place? A distant shore with a demons face I hated you for showing me love Cause chaos fits me like a glove You reached for me through burning steam The vapor filled my empty dreams Still, you were there to watch me fall I hid my shame behind a wall I shut the door and windows too I bled my heart and pierced it through Cause that’s the way love was before Your steady hands could show me more The aftermath left me on the ground My lifeless cry never made a sound Still you were there; i dont know why My beauty lies in your California eyes You shine so bright in the dark of night Forgiving me for senseless plights You cried with me when I was lost So now the pain is worth the cost I’m setting sail on a homemade raft Please find me where you hear my laugh I’ll fight the crashing waves of war Just know this means i’m wanting more I love the way you make me feel You’re beautiful; you help me heal I’ll never lose my northern lights Its where you are in hopeless nights
