Yobos and Bullies

To those who harrass; the yobos we call bullies
I'd gladly string you up by the seat of your woolies
Then from a barn rafter
You would hear my laughter
While swinging overhead from ropes and pulleys

I'd stuff each of your big mouths with a dirty sock
It's such a fitting punishment for you who mock
Twenty lashes at dawn
For you are Satan's spawn
More beatings if you crawl out from under your rock

You should be ashamed when you taunt and heckle
You have far less worth than a penny or sheckle
Your bite has no power
To injure or devour
You're nothing more than a blemish or a freckle

On billboards I'd paper your names for all to see
I'm pretty sure lots of PS poets would agree
Who'd swat you like gnats
And use you like doormats
Because your attitude is loathesome and beastly

*yobo is a synonym for a bully

You tell them, Jena! Bullies are nothing but cowards, and they do not belong in the Soup Community. Congratulations on getting the top win! It was well deserved:-) Alexis

Congratulations Jenna, very witty and well thought out poem, I think whoever bullied you, made you stronger and actually inadvertently helped boost your confidence, unfortunately not everyone bounces back like you did, I have to say all that took part in this contest are indeed winners, cheers David

Congratulations on your win. I thought this was a kid thing. I found out they turn into adults and do not grow up. It is a shame to hurt others. Enjoy your win.......

Thanks so much for the honor of a placement in your contest, Mark. I totally approved of the theme that I hope in some way made a point to many good poets on site.

I see that you don't like bullies... Understatement of the year... Only bully I ever liked was Sam the Sham and the Pharaoh's 'Wooly-Bully' song, c. 1966... String 'em up! ~ Gershon

It was just a momentary glitch...That's what I'm calling those who try to disrupt me and anyone who posts on this site. Thanks, Jan, and I am also sorry that your past experience was a bad one.

Great limericks.. You are right there is no place for bullying on poetry soup nor in society... I understand there can be misunderstandings, but behaving in an adult manner is important and I never understand why people resort to name calling .

Thank you for your kind comments. There's no accounting for the actions of anyone acting in a bullying manner, and it should never be tolerated.
