Ying and Yang

Yang My lighter tang The half of me that I Supposedly maintain Insane How you can act like a color Or how I act I guess is Nothing like my mother. Yang An exclusion from yin And sometimes claiming my other half Is looked at as a sin Where do I begin? Slavery and thick skin Masters and rich men Dan in a lion's den Shouting from all ends A rivalry from when? Followed by Yin A "darkness within" When I showcase the hood roots My mother was born in By speakin' The tongue of my own home Tongue from which a love grown This broken English I've known But is supposedly for the yin alone A culture to which I can't subscribe Because I'm not dominated By my yin side No pride One part is denied Because I display the characteristics Of two contrasting sides Yin and Yang Two opponents in the same game Two brothers with different names Two lovers from opposing gangs Different but the same Repel yet meet Contrast yet complete In theory at least. In their constant rotation Constant struggle and frustration The battle never seems to Cease.
