Yet, Can'T Help..!!

It burns like it’s the fire in Hell,
It hurt’s as my soul wept..!!
The hurt brings me the pain unknown;
As I live with a wounded soul..!!

Hate, such a dark feeling,
Yet, can’t help but feel..!!
Bad of other’s is not what I want..;
Yet, can’t stop my mind from wishing..!!
Ma heart works hard to fight..;
Yet, can’t win over the hate that grows within..!!
Hate, such a dark feeling,
Yet, can’t help but feel..!!

Forgiveness, is what’s right,
Yet, can’t forget that pain..!!
Betrayed is worse than being killed,
Yet, can’t die & am forced to live..!! 
Shame, is all the past brings..;
Along with the tears for my hearts plight..!!
Forgiveness, is what’s right,
Yet, can’t forget that pain..!!

If I didn't I would feel the way you do right now because of the many wrongs done to me in my life.I wanted to get across to you that you are a talented poet.I think we all inspire each other on Soup.As well as so many wonderful talented poets here,they are also beautiful people who inspire love for each other.God bless you,and may His Love guide you.Love June(Sylvia)

Don't hate them.We are none of us perfect.In time hatred will go,forgiveness will take its' place even if forgetting doesn't.The heart is for love.Thank you for your lovely comments.Believe, you are a very good poet. I fully understand what you're trying to say.When we've been hurt in some way.We know what we should do and think but our emotions and sometimes our pride gets in the way.But we are after all only human.I like this piece.You write from truth in a way we can all identify with.You also write with strong feelings.I esp like your last two lines. My own philosophy in life re your well expressed words is to hate the bad things that people do but try to never hate them.Love June(S)
