Yesterday's Memories

Memories of yesterday tucked away on a shelf;
I reveal them to no one....
   .... not even myself.

Memories of laughter mixed mostly with pain;
because of all this...
   ... life will never be the same.

Maybe one day I'll look upon the shelf
   and reveal the memories to only myself.

Maybe one day I'll look back and laugh;
for to discover the future,
   one must accept the past.
