Yesterday

As we stumble into Oblivion Not wanting to be in today We do all we can Without being able to bring back Yesterday As we wish for the past And try to make the good days last We cry out for Yesterday We look at the faces So real and true That remind us today is today And tomorrow is too soon At times we pray That today wasn't today And stare behind ,at our steps That behind us forever lay Back in the times, of our Yesterday We look ahead to the future, straining to see So sort of sign That isn't bleakness but glee That lies ahead, in tomorrows Yesterdays And seeing nothing We bring sadness into today As we slowly drift away And watch tomorrow become today We long for the understanding, of Yesterday
