Yesterday

Yesterday Cast along a dotted line of yesterdays and practiced rhyme These dreams before of what was told deliveries my heart does hold A poet’s thoughts of times gone by in empty scenes and tear stained eyes Where broken hearts have come to play my words they speak of yesterday Yet here I stand on corners plead as verses plant the morning seed These shadows lingering behind now disappear in what I find For beauty in my eyes I see as love it walks this dawn to me And since your love has come my way I’ve no more need for yesterday Good morning Soupers

Thank you so very much my sweet friend. There is always hope in the new day if we seek to find it and when love appears, then it is definitely a good day to stop thinking about yesterdays. I appreciate you so much Charmaine. The kindness you show me always brings a smile to my face.

Chris, your poem is like an unending river, where the last line calls back to the first. By the way, the last two stanzas are truly inspired. I'm putting it in my favorites. 7:) Amitiés

Hello Chris. Good Morning. Allow me to say this in true traditional form voice and tone. The last line is inspired and says so much. How beautiful of thought to let go of yesterday now that love is there. Very true. Marvelous throughout.
