Yesterday

Wanting to change
Wanting to take away
Hopelessness all the pain
Caught in confusion mounds of grief
if I could change what remains
Crushing, flushing and tormenting my brain
regrets of horror, sorrow and strain.
Words with sharp edges and biting teeth echo
in my mind how I wish I could grab them and
throw them into a sea of someone else's
misery.
If only I could change those terrible things
that I said yesterday
