Yes I Thought About It

Yes I thought about it
Desires ruled in earnest
I thought that
You could be
The one
But then you showed your colors
Your claws and all your druthers
And I knew that
We’d have
No fun
I’m gone and now it’s over
You ripped and closed the curtain
They say that
There should be
Another
But there behind the covers
The ones I once held onto
I see your face
Know we were
Not done
How could we give up on it
The life we built and loved in
But what you did
Now can’t be
Undone
This life is full of lessons
Some easy
Some displacing
And we were
A very
Hard case
I wish you wealth and comfort
And all the things you wanted
My life forever
Touched by
Our days
Missteps made us resent us
We could not cut against it
And now we
Are only
Old friends
I’d rather just not know you
I have no interest in us
I remember
Those words that
You said
I always made you special
And held you oh so tightly
I did not
Deserve your
Rebuke
I’ll make myself go scare now
And don’t care if you know it
I have some more
Affairs to
Go through
I’m still chasing passion
I have so much to give out
My love to
Become a
New bloom
I’m looking for my bridegroom
To adorn him with the sunrise
One whose heart
Is always
True blue
When I find him I will hold him
So very close beside me
Our souls to be
Forever
In tune
