Yep That's Me

As I sit under this tree
Eating pills and drinking whiskey

These mosquitoes are draining my blood
Thinking bout covering myself with mud

Wondering how a fella could get right here
Well Hell been working on it. 53 year

I've ran through friends and so many women
Sooner or later they know they got a lemon

I'm hallucinating and homeless and luckily I have no car
Makes it easy not to give a
I have to keep leaving things behind to lighten my load
One of these days it will be me I leave behind

Jay, I'm glad to see this poem. Reminds me of Glen's 'Gentle on my mind'. You keep your bones, leave us your words. -Richard

This write makes me think a bit of that Eagles song, "Desparado." I believe you have collected some memories that will make great poetry. Glad to see you back here friend.
