Yellow Peril

Existential fear,
erected by the faceless horde;
old yellow!
seismic,
voodoo wave,
dominating weak;
Our Territory and tenure.
Yellow Peril, in all his glory

The depths of disparity,
neither somber or pallid;
chromaticity;
Old yellow!
Impending catastrophe;
A Permafrost wrap
Brazen
Yellow Peril, In all his glory

Hopeful Jubilation,
Bigotry
segregation
Blind,
Sad,
Immortal,
Yellow peril

The only advice I would ever give is to keep writing your heart because your style is filled with Truth, Passion in Love and Hope.. because if the truth is not written or spoken about it is forgotten and people suffer for it. Continue writing boldly.

It sounds like you are ready for a re-write. May I recommend metonymy? Substitute what you mean with an attribute of it. This is a great way to change the color of your writing. No pun intended.

I believe that though your 'yellow' refers to Asian population, it could also reflect that same 'yellow' as cowardice in face of a threat. Fear ought to change to understanding and acceptance. ~ Regards // paul

My friend, I love where you are going with this piece. The concept is deep and powerful and I would like to suggest, perhaps, using a "Blitz" form which would work very well to articulate your thoughts most effectively. For example, I wrote my piece on "Colonialism," using that form and it helped me tremendously to bring my ideas across in a more powerful and effective manner. Hugs and best wishes. Pandita

The Yellow Peril was the colour metaphor thought to be an integral part of the xenophobic theory of colonialism: increasing people of East Asia were a danger to the Western world. Unfortunately, people still feel terrified about this movement rather than accepting - I still wait for the day when all is inclusive a colour is merely the outfit we wear. H

That's a little terrifying.
