Yellow Noise

So much noise,
Yellow noise,
And everyone tries to
Be louder than everyone else
Because we're too afraid to
Stand in the shadow of silence
Since each one of us is dead set
On being bright enough
To rally some part of the universe
To revolve around us
Or even to simply
Waver in response,
To acknowledge us!-
In the end we'll all smash
Each other to bits,
But only the astronomers
Will ever mourn the loss
Of the stars; invisible,
Forgotten, and rendered silent
And even the astronomers dwindle
Deafened and blinded by so much
Yellow noise

This is such a creative piece. I can almost hear the noise you described, like static and snow on a television. Congrats and thank you for entering.
