Yellow

Melancholy blooms into sunshine
Jolly as a snake finds food divine
Free me from being a captive so fine
I’m a yellow painting amongst the dark
I’m a mellow lark in your sunlit park
If I can blossom, I can unnumb the mark
The mark of black upon my yellow…mellow…fellow…snake of mine
