Yearning

restless, cold winter lurked in shadows
love paled, leaf by leaf, to fall to dust
blown apart in the wind, in meadows
empty benches awaiting our trust.
love paled, leaf by leaf, to fall to dust
reminiscing spring of golden bloom
empty benches awaiting our trust
unaware of the long frigid gloom.
reminiscing spring of golden bloom
hoping soliticious spark in urn
unaware of the long frigid gloom
lighting an eternal flame, we yearn.
hoping soliticious spark in urn
blown apart in the wind, in meadows
lighting an eternal flame, we yearn
restless, cold winter lurked in shadows.

The line, 'empty benches awaiting our trust,' resonates so with me and my life experience. So moving! Thanks, Gershon
