Yom HaShoah
(Holocaust Remembrance Day)

Sirens will ring in Israel
Small moment in time
To remember six million slaughtered

Has the world forgotten?
Is our memory so short?
Is history not taught?

The evil of antisemitism
Is raising its ugly head
Even in America

I had to block a poet on this site who took issue with me writing this and said some fairly vile anti-semitic things. When I blocked this person their comments were taken off. Thanks for reading. I have read the accounts of the GI's who opened up the camps. They were applalled and sickened.

Tom Woody Date: 4/24/2025 6:17:00 AM Hatred, prejudice, bias have a long sordid history with sinful humanity. Interestingly many are unaware that an entire section of the Holocaust museum in Washington DC is dedicated to Jehovah's witnesses. Why? They were German citizens by birth and culture, but they refused to support Nazism. They maintained absolute neutrality. Many were killed or suffered in the camps.
