-Y Oh Why

“Y” is number twenty five in the alphabet
Open armed between “X” and “Z”
Two very unpopular letters 
It has to be said !

“Y” is a happy, versatile letter
Welcoming all with open arms
Yet “X” and “Z” dislike “Y”
Jealous of “Y’s” charismatic charms

“Why oh why”, sighs “Y”
Am l stuck between these two?
I cannot move within the alphabet
So ,there is nothing l can do ….

“X” and “Z” don’t venture far
Rarely do they roam
They  just hang out in the alphabet
“The Bet” is what they call their home!

“Y” has strength of character
A letter of great flexibility
Arms wide open to all including  “X” and “Z”
Though to “Y’s” closest mates  “Y” is known as “E”


(E being the E sound …happ-y)
