Xox World

XOX World ( A Valentine to Sun)

caressing my face
weightlessly and soundlessly. . . .
Sun’s light wakes me

as I dress myself 
he peeks through my window and
invites me to play

My neck tingles as
I'm driving with the top down. . . .
Sun in hot pursuit

I stop at the lake
his bright reflection ripples
where ducks are floating

drifting blissfully
I surrender my body
to his warm embrace

as Sun’s strength recedes
sky blazes orange and red. . . . 
but I just feel blue

night finds me at home
rubbing lotion where he left
A scarlet hickey

Robert Johnson January 5, 2012 at 3:01 PM I was driving with the top up, as it's winter time, you know. Sliding round the corner as I hit a patch of snow. Your problem with your hickey does'nt pull my heart strings much. I hit dry road and then got towed, because I slipped the clutch.

Phyllis Babcock January 4, 2012 at 9:23 PM Cute poem and we are getting spring like weather and I am in my glory. ha ha Patti and Aaron were in a car accident today. A lady ran a red light and luckily they were in the suv rather than the car. The air bags blew and the the suv is totalled. So much for a fantastic new year. A cop was behind her so she has a good witness but man oh man we got a scare. Suv is only 3 months old but at least they are safe. love phyl
