Xenophobia Ii: We Are Africans

History has formed us into one braid
to stay strong and never surrender to any blade
standing side by side to be each others shade.
Why then do we classify one another into grades?
So that some cut others off just b’cos they are made?

There’s still hope, this togetherness will not fade
whatever it is, we have collectively paid
let’s stop hate from this unprecedented raid
so that unity will eventually get love laid.
We are Africans! Enough has been said.

A very strong and powerful piece my friend. Hatred and evil in this world must be fought for neither ever rests and both serve well their master. Culture there must undergo a drastic change to limit the killing and evil so prevalent there. Great write. A7..

Strong piece of work that speaks on so many different levels. My ancestors were south African so I definitely understand and feel this

Such powerful imagery all served with smooth rhyme and flow!"History has formed us into one braid, to stay strong and never surrender to any blade, standing side by side to be each others shade." I itch to give a speech with this quotation.

Excellent write Funom, enough has been said, hatred is the root of all evils did in Africa even in the word; must we hate, must we killed. The solution is to look up to God.
