Wrong If I Cry

Men can't show emotions, so I can't be strong in your eyes You said it would be wrong if I cry You said real men don't shed tears So I'll put pen to paper and you'll see that I bled here You don't like emotional men, you want the whole tough guy image I'm supposed to ignore what I'm feeling and just bottle it up Pretend it doesn't exist and make sure the bottle is shut Well I don't care what you think, I'm going to pour my heart out even if it's for just five minutes You think only females feel pain, and men are heartless But we get hurt too, and stuck on our own in darkness I've got so many wounds open that I'm bleeding from I'm still unable to trust females since I was cheated on That was 7 years ago, and the pain's Still here My dreams, became nightmares Battled suicidal thoughts, and at 17 i even overdosed Now you expect me to act like I'm okay and hold you close I smashed every mirror in the house because I hated myself that much My childhood dream was for my parents to give me one hug But they put me in foster care, something I'm still scarred from Now all I have is a piece of paper for me to put my heart on Men can't show emotions, so I can't be strong in your eyes I don't care if it's wrong, I just cried You said real men don't shed tears So I put pen to paper and now you saw that I bled here
