Written Into Your Soul
Like words written into a heart so whole
I want to be written into your soul
Like loving memories washing like a tide
I want to be engraved in your mind
I want to wrap my hands around your heart
To take away the pain wouldn't be so hard
You are my beginning and my end
Your troubled soul i want to mend
Your tears i catch with my two cupped hands
and your fears i blow away like grains of sand
I will be there after every storm
Your personal rainbow when you have been torn
Let me into your depths allow me to relight your flame
Let my fingers stroke your heart and dust away the pain
Let me be the one to cradle your dreams
and sow you back together seam for seam
You are written into my soul
Engraved in me like words on a stone scroll
I am yours for forever and a day
Take my hand and well forever together stay
