Written In Water
It was written in water, like all the promises they make,
you can’t trust most politicians, so make no mistake,
it may be the year for the Greens to advance some more
are there any other’s even worth you greeting at your door?
We’ve seen endless lies and promises soon forgotten,
the reds are confused again, the blues remain rotten,
and the few others we may have a chance to vote for
seldom make an impact even if they say they’ll do more.
Do you live within a safe seat that’s not worth a bet?
How can it be democratic if our votes have no effect
Only when we get proportional votes for all of our polls,
can we expect governments that can ever meet our goals…
