Written Beneath Our Scars
As I look out my window, all I see is couples holding hands
As I see lovers kiss and smile, it reminds me of us
As the couples walk along these roads, I wonder if you and I will ever be that way.
We're far from one another, yet we're staring up at the same moon and stars
We wish to be side by side, though we both know we're thinking of one another
As i'm writing this I think of you
While my heart is miles away I still feel your arms around me
As I wonder if you truly mean all you've said to me
Watching day turn to night my heart begins to race while a smile appears upon my lips.
I won't say for now as I feel like my forever is so far away
Finding ways to make you closer then you are
Finding quotes to say how i'm feeling
Knowing you are the one
Seeming a bit cliché
Being in love seems like a dream
Finding you was the best thing I've done
Yet the distance is killing me
Looking deeper then skin
Looking over both our disabilities
While scars are visible only to eyes but these scars brought us together with love making scars less then they are.
Bruised only to see my heart mended by you
