You can't build a future
if you keep tearing down
a foundation. True,
the liquor may speak the truth
when it's in me, but honestly
I see more clearly when abstinence is in me.
About two days of sobriety
and I feel God tickle me.
People look at me strange
when I laugh for no reason
but they can't see the kingdom
I'm building. Stick wit me,
watch me polish this halo
and place it where it rightfully belongs, o
n my queen's head, anonymously
I sing heaven's praise when I say,
"Hi, my name is T.S. and
I've been writing for awhile.
