Wrist Watch

Technological marvel: who’d have ever guessed? They went to the moon, powered by less. The thing receives phone calls, it’s got GPS, a mindfulness app for when you are stressed. It monitors heart rate, can produce EKGs, prompts you when it’s time: take your medicine, please. Blood-oxygen levels, hours of REM sleep; If you’re under the water, it knows just how deep. If you’re lost in the woods, it will help get you back, or blast a loud siren if you’re under attack. The steps that you took, the stairs that you climbed, record a voice memo to capture a rhyme. Listening to music, or receiving a text, keep up with your groceries, so your wife won’t be vexed. For the gals, tracking cycles, and for all, track your phone, keeps up with the NASDAQ, and the stocks that you own. But it doesn’t record all the things that you missed - Life in arrest, watching your wrist.

Excellent point, Jeff. I haven't worn a wristwatch since I retired several years ago. I don't really care what time it is. Got a special watch a couple of Christmases ago, but I couldn't figure out how to set it up, so it's still in the box awaiting a yard sale!

Yes, got an Apple Watch - they are pretty amazing, but they don't come with much of a user manual - they expect you to be curious and go find out how to use them on the web...

Smart indeed Jeff in every aspect, poem is excellent, the watch offers a lot, but does very little to enhance our lives, cheers David

It is pretty cool though, and when you get a doctor's excuse to buy it for the ability to detect if I go into a-fib, win/win! :-)

The "Dick Tracy" wrist radio on steroids. Nice take on the whole "techno-phobia" regimen
