Wrestling Naked Bears In the Fleeting Flames of Folly
Wrestling naked bears in the fleeting flames of folly
Alone against the backdrop of hazed mountain
lone fireflies pour from moon’s lightning fountain
challenging the red faced lady bugs
to go away - there’d be no parting hugs
Obese owls panting warn their mousey prey
they too grown fat since things had turned their way
had taken shapes to make Walt Disney’s mice look lean
caused the sated cats to jiggle as they preen
Velvet dogs had played strip poker with the bears
left them at the table covering their rears
naked now, they hide behind a tree
growling – move on nothing here to see
I joined the bears in a quick skinny dip
that is until they gave me some cheap lip
they never saw the pictures that I took
until I friended them on their faceebook
And as the fireflies ignite the night
tcold, naked bears are staying out of sight
plump owls watch the dogs of velvet ways
moving through the foggy mountain haze
