Wrapped

Wrapped in Armani’s and Gucci’s
Life has become so trivial
No one cares what’s inside
 that well groomed exterior
With inflated egos and pompous gait
we roam around
flaunting what we wear
Not caring who we really are
Leaving us hollow inside
With a suffocated soul
Withered and breathless
A tormented mind
Wings of which have been tied,
Its flight restricted
Ever thought
Of a gift wrapper
No matter
How shiny and classy it is
It ends up in the bin
What always matters
is the gift inside

Precious reminders made of silken insight. May everyone be donned in them when they go out at night.
