Wounded Sigh

Bright jewel enshrined odyssey sparkles,
as haunted pneuma’s blinding sun quest,
sculpts sweet blissful dream escape plot,
from deep well nagging torrents,
wounded sigh raw throat rush,
magma spewing ire,
ashen inkling,
cerise dawn’s,
gleeful
prompt

Eyes
dilate,
at lavish,
surreal sights,
froth rim cascades dull,
imagined sudden ache,
or dark traumatic imprint,
spritely bird chirp’s amber wing dive,
honeysuckles gloomy vocal chord,
to pamper for a while my strained quiver

Rabid mishap cluster in harsh pickle,
fuel soaked match hazard an idle spark,
to set wild utterance aglow,
yet gold wisps of heaven lurk,
they remould skewed instinct,
despite life’s burden,
sigh a tiny,
wound doused with,
simple
joy

Dear Howard, contrasting facets of forces, emotions and striking imagery sparkle in the cohesion of this rich triple stanza etheree. "Eyes/dilate,/at lavish,/surreal sights" A soulful experience set in stunning verse! The depth and breadth of this piece goes way beyond the confines of the etheree form and the borders of the poetic page. Beautiful! Warmest wishes my poetic friend.. ~Susan

What a brilliant etheree, i love this form and youv written so well in such eloquence, on how amidst the darkness and tribulations in life, we somehow find light through whats around us. I felt so many lines in this and your use of metaphors and nature to convey what you think and feel is truly worthy of all the accolades. I love the slight alliterations and wordplay! Pleasure reading this, best wishes for the contest, well delivered

Dear Howard, Amid life's trials and tribulations, the poem centers on discovering fleeting moments of delight and magnificence. Despite facing adversity, the human spirit may find comfort in the little things in life, and the poem delves into themes of light and dark, suffering and love. It explores the inner voyage, through emotional upheaval and the search for solace and happiness. Resilience, hope, and finding joy despite adversity are some of the topics it explores.
