Wounded Sigh

In the stillness 
of the lonely night
a melody of sorrow
is haunting me.
Your cruel words 
become the weight
of my tears 
leaving a trail 
of heartache 
etched into the stone 
of my soul.
Let my wounded sigh 
reverberate 
to the uttermost ends 
of the universe.
Let it echo back 
to me 
with the melody
of healing.
