Would Your Heart's Door Open

Would Jesus find the curtains drawn
if to your house he came.?
Would your heart's door soon open
if he should call your name?

Would you so quickly try to hide
the remnants of your past?
Would your heart ache at the thought
this visit might be his last?

Would you dare wish within your heart
that he'd quickly go away?
Would this not be the proper time
to hear what he had to say?

Would you ignore him once again
as in times past you've done?
Or open up and ask him in
accepting him as God's son?

Your hearts sin cannot be hidden
of your life he's fully aware.
His once bright light now barely glows
since being placed in your care.

If at your door his knock soon comes
fret not nor do not hide.
But with un-drawn drapes and open door
kindly welcome the Son inside.
