Would You Still Love Me
Would you still love me
If i was a tree
And instead of my leaves being yellow or orange
It was black and lifeless
With leaves that fail to plummet
During the fall
Would you still love me
If instead of being full of sparkling flakes
With white blissfulness that resembled pure innocence
I'm filled with spiced, dark
Almost polluted snowfall
During the winter
Would you still love me
If instead of being filled with pastel newborn life
Flourishing with unchanging breeze
I was filled with suspenseful thunder
Sweeping away the blossoming birth of peace
During the spring
Would you still love me
If instead of a vibrant sun baked colors
With heavenly refreshing Popsicle's
I was filled with a burning hazy heatwave
With long, desperate hours
During the summer
Would you still love me
If the seasons turned into unpredictability
With a sense of despair
If instead of having four
There is just endless frustration and anger, lingering through
Penetrating even the most innocent
Would you still love me
If it became so broken its ill
Searching for what's right
With pieces held together with tape and glue
Where taste, smell, touch, sight and what we hear still makes no sense
What if the seasons are us
