Would you love me if I wasn't a poet?
Would you love me if I wasn't even able to paint my feelings through inscribed words?
Would you love me if I could not even be lyrical, for my thoughts are only shallow?
I can see it in your eyes, your admiration for my gift of being able to plunge words to the deepest part of your imagination;
How you adore my every word like a dreamer looking up to her star;
How you cherish that part of me that takes your thoughts and imagination to a deep swim in the oceans of fantasy and reality;
But would you love me if I wasn't the poet that I am?
