Would You Like To Be Me

I work a dead end job where I am constantly overlooked. I go to school and work my butt off and stress my mind out 'til someone snaps me out of it. I do have friends, Friends I hardly ever get to see, Oh and family that cares but doesn't really understand, So tell me again, would you like to be me? I mean, I'm ok being me. I wouldn't trade my life for another. I just wish to be happy and care free. I used to have a smile permanently painted on my face, But now I have a frown, a solemn reversal jam stabbed and traced over the underlying smile. Some things have changed but not much, so I ask myself why must this be. So tell me again, would you like to be me? I love art. I love nature. I love animals. I love my God. I love people... But maybe that's part of the problem. I love what saddens me. People take, people hate, people scorn, people lie, people wreak havoc, But I love people. They bring company, they show love, they have compassion, Like me... But perhaps I have too much, So much it hurts me too much when things go south. It hurts too much when I'm around people, it hurts too much when I'm alone. So tell me again, would you like to be me? You're a person though aren't you? I love you too much to let you be me....

Nicely put Mariah, reminds me of that song sung by Desiree called "Love will save the day!" Our prayers and love…:)
