Worthless Words

You walk in, you say let’s talk
I feel myself surrounded by your words
I can’t seem to let out a single thought
And my vision is blurred
I can’t concentrate on the things you say
I know you want to apologize
But I don’t think there’s a way
To play nice
There isn’t a way to make up for what you did
You aren’t who you were
And you aren’t a kid
I have no idea what is left to do
I thought, I thought I loved you
But I know that’s not true
I think I just loved the idea of you.
