Some people pay homage to God by flipping a few coins to a beggar so that they can like themselves again. And continue to substitute fantasy for reality subjugating the masses oblivious to their hypocrisy. But you see others for their uniqueness thereby appreciating your own. And you feel devastated by the inhumanity you witness. Suffering the hopelessness of wanting to make a difference. Faith reveals a glimpse of your soul as fate measures your heart's reaction to life's sad realities. Compassion can cut cleanly through the wounds we wear as mementos, but we will need to bleed out to understand we are all vulnerable and imperfect. Life can be depressing and at times some shoulder more than their rightful share of sadness. But when you light a spark of hope in the eyes of a child despite the odds, isn't that worth fighting for?
