Worth

Enough is enough,
She vowed, no one
Would hurt her that way
Ever again.

Years went by, and
She kept her heart
Protected.

Then she met him,
And her heart was
Unprotected.

Heartache approached
And there was nothing,
She could do to stop it.

She feared her love
For him would break her,
Into the million pieces
She knew her heart could fall into.

Was it worth it she wondered?
