Worlds Away

Through the distant window, sunshine teases me
I am taunted by the heat, the morning rays
However, here I sit, typing and working
Counting the hours until the end of day

But, then the sun descends, to slowly slumber
Offering me its glow of orange and red
Introducing me to his friend, the gentle moon
That I say goodnight to, each night I’m in bed
