Worlds Apart

I promised a poem for you one day Before I knew it you went away Now just memories of you I hold I'd do it anyway, to myself I told What once was love is now an end From whom I called my best friend My life I changed, and still I would To give this to you, I wish I could We're worlds apart, that won't change A life so lonely, yet not so strange Your birthday I missed to help a friend But its you I miss in the end
