World Peace
Is it a Utopia? Is world peace not possible?
Is a state of joy and peace - a mission impossible?
Is freedom less attainable like walking on the moon?
Won't people and nations of planet earth become one soon?
A world devoid of barbarism is the need of the day,
Where each one to the growth of the other freely gives way;
Where rights of each individual by each one extolled,
Wherein wisdom with discernment, like flowers does unfold...!
Let whole globe turn our homeland where we, like unchained birds, fly,
Exploring newer galaxies far beyond this scanty sky;
No crusades, No wars, no less-humanizing slave trade,
No human slaughters; no unfairness; none by color weighed...!
Not just absence of war; May world be filled with endless love,
May compassion hold its head high; graces fall from above;
No death dawn on beings till no fulfillment of true life,
May beings find their meaning of birth and the mundane strife...!
With calmness of minds and candor of hearts let's meet challenges,
Against injustices of all sorts, let's teach the masses;
May weapons give way to absolute human enrichment,
May competitions pave pace for pure peace benevolent...!
