World of Us

It means the world to me
when you applaud my beauty
robbing me of insecurity,
while abandoning smiling
wanton vixens of haste
fixate brown eyes of lure
beyond the heavens; for me
just for me.

It means the world to me
when you renew our beauty
robbing us of boredom
leading to whoredom’s
capitol villages of lust
we must always trust
above the heavens; for us
just for us.

It means the world to you
when you protect our home
while strangers roam stranger
avenue venues warped in
vain tarps filled to capacity
with audacious greed married
to requited hate; for all of us
just for all of us.

It means the world to us...to love
It means the world to us...to love
It means the world to us...to love.

An appreciation for the most important but often the most neglected gifts to each other. Well done.

A lovely sentiment and one that many aspire to. A poem of the heart for sure.
