World of Illusion
Perhaps we are all broken,
Living an illusion that
Perfection is no less than
A reality, that the world
Is not a sick perverted candy land.
An illusion of a god that cares for us all.
But this is just a dream.
A wonderful life long acid trip for some.
Oh my dear, how I hope you live
In the illusion till the end of your days.
I hope you can walk with the optimists
And the believers, whilst the cynic's
Like myself, watch from a dark street side
Corner, wasting away in a puddle of envy.
How I long for a mind like yours.
A mind to keep me on a constant high.
A high where every beautiful thing seems real
A high which will trap me in a glorious dream
Instead of this terrible nightmare of reality.
