World No Longer Seeks Her

Confined in her own twisted idealism
she wonders if there is a way
to punch out of this hell

Integrity be damned
The world no longer sighs 
with the old, sick, discouraged or troubled

Each for themselves
Failure feeding upon failure
Bullies winning

She tucks herself inside
fearful of the throng
that does not even
know she is alive

and is not looking ….
